Credit Card Convenience Fees

黑料导航 is committed to providing students and their families with a range of options for paying their educational expenses. Please note that effective March 18, 2019, students will be charged a convenience fee by 黑料导航’s third-party credit card processing vendor when making credit card payments to their bursar account. This change is being made to offset the costs associated with providing the convenience of online credit card payments.

Please note the following changes to non-refundable convenience fees:

Credit Card Payments

Effective January 6, 2025, Transact Payments, an independent third-party contractor that accepts payments to a student’s bursar account, will charge a non-refundable convenience fee based on the amount charged. Domestic credit card payments will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.95%, and international credit cards will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 4.25%, which is assessed by Transact Payments and not 黑料导航. The minimum convenience fee for card transactions over $20 and less than $106 will be $3. The convenience fee is paid to Transact Payments, and 黑料导航 does not receive any of this fee. The charge for the convenience fee will appear separately from the payment on your card statement.

ACH Convenience Fees

Effective November 1, 2023, E-check payments from checking and savings accounts are accepted online by 黑料导航 through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) Network. Transact Payments, an independent third-party contractor that accepts payments to a student’s bursar account, will charge a non-refundable convenience fee up to .50 per E-check transaction. The convenience fee is paid to Transact Payments, and 黑料导航 does not receive any of this fee. The charge for the convenience fee will appear separately from the payment on your bank statement.

Effective January 6, 2025, Transact Payments will charge a non-refundable SmartPay ACH return fee of $30 based on New York State regulation. This fee will apply to any ACH that is returned. The convenience fee is paid to Transact Payments, and 黑料导航 does not receive any of this fee. The charge for the convenience fee will appear separately from the payment on your bank statement.

Cash and check payments can be made in person at the Office of the Bursar (please do not send cash through the mail).

Yes. However, credit card payments are only accepted online via Transact Payments through the聽Student Service HUB. 黑料导航 no longer accepts credit card payments by mail, in-person, or via fax for student account payments.

To allow your parents or some other designee to make a payment, view your balance, enroll in a payment plan and view your e-bill: Sign in to your聽Student Service HUB聽account and choose聽Select Parent PIN. Once you’ve granted them access, they will be able to perform these functions.

NOTE: a debit card with a credit card issuer logo will be processed as a credit card and incur the above convenience fees.

The costs associated with processing in-person student account credit card transactions have continued to grow each year. Rather than eliminate student account credit card payments altogether, 黑料导航 is committed to offering students the continued option to securely and conveniently pay their student accounts online.

You can make student account payments online with all major credit cards.

The convenience fee is assessed by Transact Payments, not 黑料导航, so it will not appear on your student account. The convenience fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card or bank statement.

No, the Transact Payments incurred convenience fee is non-refundable. Any convenience fee disputes must be taken directly to your credit card issuer or bank.
