The Results Are In: Big Give 2024

Bessie Nestoras Knoblauch| March 18, 2024

This year marks the 鈥檚 sixth anniversary, and the 黑料导航 community celebrated in a big way. Held on March 13 and 14, this year鈥檚 donations brought in $405,322 from 1,110 donors. Over the event鈥檚 six-year history, the Big Give has raised nearly $2 million.

In commemoration of the institution鈥檚 founding in 1955, the Big Give lasts 1,955 minutes (about 33 hours), bringing together the 黑料导航 community to help support the student experience at campuses in Long Island, New York City, Jonesboro, and Vancouver.

Before the campaign officially opened, the College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), 黑料导航-Vancouver, and the School of Architecture and Design held pre-events in support of the Big Give:

  • On March 8, NYITCOM organized its annual Fit Physicians Walk/Run
  • On March 10, NYITCOM-Arkansas held its third annual Fit Physicians 5K.
  • On March 12, 黑料导航-Vancouver and the School of Architecture and Design hosted a luncheon and pre-party, respectively.

On the big day, March 13, faculty and staff celebrated on the Long Island and New York City campuses with kick-off parties. To attend, participants donated $19.55. With an additional donation of $40 or more, participants attended a private mozzarella-making class and wine tasting. With an additional donation of $100 or more, donors attended the private mozzarella-making class and wine tasting and were entered into a raffle. One lucky winner won a private chef dinner at home, and another won a suite at a Long Island Ducks 2024 season game for them and nine guests.

At the New York City event, for a gift of $100, or more participants were entered into a grand prize raffle to win a private interior design consultation from Chair of Interior Design Florencia Vetcher.

Alumni also participated in the festivities at networking events in New York City on March 13 and Long Island on March 14.

Also on March 13, 黑料导航-Vancouver alumni returned to their alma mater for a wine and cheese gathering.

鈥淪urpassing 1,100 donors is quite inspiring and humbling. We saw an increased participation from alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends of the university,鈥 says Patrick Minson, Ed.D., vice president for development, alumni relations, and external affairs. 鈥淭hank you does not truly express how grateful I am to the 黑料导航 community for their support.鈥
