Seminars

Department of Biomedical Sciences

The primary purpose of the departmental seminar series is to provide a regularly scheduled series of seminars led by expert speakers in venues where new findings of clinical relevance to the practice of medicine are presented and discussed. Departmental seminars are held in person in the Rockefeller Auditorium on the second Thursday of the month, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. (ET), September through May. They are also accessible via Zoom.

Biomedical Sciences Departmental Seminar Series sessions are free and open to all.

CME Course Objectives

CME credit is available to participants who attend and who have filled out an attestation form.

Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  • Apply the information delivered in the session to compare and contrast current therapeutic modalities with future possibilities of treatments of disease.
  • Use the information delivered to differentiate novel mechanisms of disease from established paradigms.
  • Demonstrate the ability to ask appropriate questions of the material and recognize when lines of inquiry fall outside of disciplinary boundaries.
