National Nutrition Month, April 13, 11 a.m.: Celebrate nutrition with the Grizzly Cupboard and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences on the Long Island campus at the 黑料导航 Garden (behind Balding House). You can earn PEP credit by attending.
, May 2, 1:35 p.m.: All 黑料导航 community, friends, family, and loved ones are welcome to join us for a wonderful Saturday at Yankee Stadium with the Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees. Those buying the first 150 tickets purchased will receive a signature New York Yankee cap with the Tech Bear logo!
Academic Deadlines, Support, and Financial Aid
to help you make informed decisions about your next steps. This is the perfect time to review your degree requirements, explore electives, and build a schedule that keeps you on track for graduation.

Register for classes in three steps:
- Step 1: to choose courses.
- Step 2: Clear any holds and complete your To Do items in the .
Step 3: Build your class schedule in the Schedule Planner in the . Make sure to review the campus, class start and end dates, and instruction mode for each class. Validate your schedule, Import to your shopping cart, and register for classes.
- Review any Holds and To Do list items in the Student Service HUB to avoid delays in processing aid or impacts on enrollment.
- Enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan.
- Tuition for spring is now due. Summer is due May 1 and Fall is due August 1.
- The 2026 鈥 2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available at . File early to maximize your aid eligibility. You will need to create an FSA ID and use our federal school code 002782.
- If you plan to attend classes in the summer, submit a to the Financial Aid office at finaid@nyit.edu. You must take a minimum of six (6) credits to be eligible for federal student loans.
- File the 2025 鈥 2026 FAFSA online at to receive financial aid, including any scholarship offers you received. The 2025鈥2026 FAFSA is required for the spring 2026 semester.
- Apply for the NYS Tuition Assistance Program. Undergraduate students who are New York State residents are encouraged to apply for the NYS Tuition Assistance Program at . You will need to create a user ID and PIN. Our TAP school code is 2120. The TAP application is currently available for the 2025鈥2026 and 2026鈥2027 award years.
Spring 2026
- The withdrawal period dates:
- The last day to withdraw from a spring semester class is May 7.
- The last day to withdraw from a Cycle D class is May 14.
Withdrawing from a class will result in a grade of W on your transcript. A withdrawal may affect your financial aid eligibility, immigration status (if applicable), and progress toward graduation. In some cases, your overall education cost may increase due to extended enrollment or loss of aid.

The Career Fair is September 17! Start getting prepared early by attending the Prep for the Career Fair: Pitch Yourself with Confidence event on April 16 during free hour on both campuses.
The Debra A. Vogel Student Advancement Scholarship is designed to inspire 黑料导航 students to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and become engaged in the global business community as they continue their studies. The scholarship provides a foundation of financial assistance as an incentive to encourage students to become future international industry leaders through their innovation, ideas, and passion. The deadline is April 27.

The 黑料导航 Access and Belonging Ambassador Program provides opportunities for students to take an active role in educational, cultural, social, and leadership opportunities for students on campus as it pertains to multiculturalism, equity, belonging, and social justice. Students in the role will work closely with the assistant dean of Access and Belonging. The overall goal of the program is to promote the genuine celebration of differences and promote multicultural awareness that assists with engaging across cultures and in everyday settings.
Belonging Ambassadors assist with facilitating and implementing various aspects of cultural programs, educational workshops, and leadership development opportunities throughout the school year. In addition to improving self-confidence, communication skills, and leadership abilities, Ambassadors are some of the best-informed students who become part of a close-knit, diverse, and dynamic group.
Counseling and Wellness is recruiting for the fall 2026/spring 2027 cohort of the Peer Health Educator program! A Peer Health Educator (PHE) is a student leader who supports the mental health and wellness of the campus community through connection and advocacy. Throughout the academic year, PHEs collaborate with each other to develop programming, host outreach events, connect students to campus services, and attend trainings.

through 黑料导航’s partnership with the bus program to help subsidize your commuting costs. The NICE bus system provides transportation on Long Island. Eligible students may receive one set of 10 bus passes per semester. Lost passes are not replaceable.
This program is valid until the end of April.
We have recently published updated information regarding SEVIS check-in, international travel, and U.S. reentry, Optical Practical Training (OPT), and I-20 extensions. We will continue to keep you apprised of any changes in policies and processes.

Consultants for the Public Good has received a grant that can provide funding for student-led service initiatives that are transformational and impactful to the community. Grab your fellow 黑料导航 peers or even your campus club and get to brainstorming!
Additionally, if you are already participating in a volunteer initiative that requires travel, you can apply for funding to aid in travel for access to that opportunity.

April is National Volunteer Month! You can participate and earn experience credits by volunteering via Consultants for the Public Good. You may also contact Askia VanOmmeren, assistant director of experiential education, at avanomme@nyit.edu or visit CSEE offices at 26 W. 61st St., second floor or the Student Activity Center, 2R on Long Island.
Apply for an Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship for up to $5,000 to travel while pursuing a personal project during summer or fall. Application is open until April 17.

Long Island campus: In addition to quiet study areas available in the campus libraries, students may reserve a study room in Anna Rubin Hall or Field House at the Long Island campus.
New York City campus: The third floor of the library has carrels for quiet study, and the new Learning Center location will also be available for quiet study when programming permits. Students can a single use study room and the podcasting/media room located in this area. The IT open lab is also available as a study space.
