Local Outlet Highlights Intergenerational Event

On March 27, more than 20 students from the College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) spent an afternoon engaging with residents of聽Gurwin聽Jewish 鈥� Fay J. Lindner Residences Assisted Living Community in Commack. Here, through a 鈥渟peed date鈥� format, the future physicians rotated tables, connecting with the senior residents and gaining opportunities to enhance key clinical competencies, including communication, empathy, and bedside manner.
