Yash Santosh Prabhu (M.B.A. 鈥�26) earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in operations and supply chain management in May, but the School of Management alumnus remains connected to his 黑料导航 roots. He鈥檚 reminded of the university every day as he works full time at French beauty retailer L鈥橭ccitane en Provence鈥攁n opportunity made possible by the university鈥檚 internship certificate program.

At L鈥橭ccitane en Provence鈥檚 corporate office in Cranbury, N.J., Prabhu is a logistics data analyst. He is responsible for analyzing warehouse and logistics data, building dashboards and reports to track operational performance, monitoring key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and supporting cost tracking and budgeting. He also works closely with other teams, like warehouse operations and finance, to help improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.

L鈥橭ccitane en Provence falls under the umbrella of the L鈥橭ccitane Group, which brings leading beauty brands to more than 90 countries around the world.

鈥淚 am excited to begin my career with the company,鈥� says Prabhu, whose goal of building a future in supply chain and logistics is well aligned with his current position. 鈥淢y internship with L鈥橭ccitane en Provence confirmed that I enjoy solving operational challenges and using data to improve decision-making.鈥�

Before accepting a full-time job, Prabhu spent his spring semester with the company as a supply chain analyst intern, where he supported domestic and international logistics operations. His internship at corporate L鈥橭ccitane en Provence offered the opportunity to apply what he learned in the classroom to real business operations, giving him hands-on experience with logistics coordination, data analysis, and enterprise resource planning.

Prabhu鈥檚 multi-faceted role involved coordinating shipments with carriers and warehouses, preparing shipping documentation, tracking shipment performance, and analyzing logistics data. He also developed a dashboard to monitor key supply chain metrics, helped ensure products were delivered on time, and assisted in resolving shipment-related issues.

Among his many duties, Prabhu cites shipment tracking as one that he looked forward to the most.

鈥淜nowing that every shipment contained products people were excited to receive gave me a sense of purpose,鈥� he reflects. 鈥淚t reminded me that my work, even behind the scenes, played a small but important role in delivering a positive customer experience.鈥�

While corporate jobs might have a stigma of being monotonous, Prabhu says his internship broke the mold as no two days were the same. Each day in the office brought new surprises. He was grateful to experience challenges like shipment delays, documentation issues, and urgent customer requests. He learned to stay calm, quickly adapt, and find solutions in fast-paced situations.

鈥淜nowing my work contributed to smooth operations motivated me to keep improving,鈥� he says. 鈥淚 also appreciated the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and see how supply chain decisions are made in a global company.鈥�

Contributing to projects directly impacting business, strengthening both his technical and professional skills, made for an internship experience that Prabhu will never forget鈥攅specially since his high performance as an intern, demonstrated in a final presentation during the last day of his internship, directly led to the first step taken in his post-grad professional career.
