Colleen Kirk
School of ManagementResearch on the "AI-authorship effect" by Colleen P. Kirk, D.P.S., professor of marketing, was recently featured in a July 2, 2026, on how financial advisors can use AI in client communications without eroding trust. The article cited Kirk's research showing that clients can experience a sense of moral disgust when they learn that emotionally meaningful messages, such as birthday greetings or condolences, were generated by AI rather than written personally.

College of Engineering and Computing SciencesWei Zeng, Ph.D., assistant professor of mechanical engineering, published a research article, "鈥�, in Forces in Mechanics on June 25, 2026. It presents the development and performance analysis of a paper-based gripper utilizing origami techniques and cost-effective materials.

College of Arts and SciencesJonathan Ezra Goldman, Ph.D., professor of English, Department of Humanities, gave on June 25, 2026. Goldman focused on historical material about 1920s Greenwich Village and NYC generally drawn from his new book Hidden Histories of Jazz Age New York from the Suppressed to the Strange.

She was recognized "for pioneering contributions to advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence algorithms, with impactful applications in biomedical engineering, microwave imaging and sensing, non-destructive testing, and radar systems."
