SoADPablo Lorenzo-Eiroa, M.Arch., associate professor of architecture, was featured in an article by Taylor Mode, "Training Mode," part of by Palmyra Geraki, published by New York Review of Architecture on July 14, 2023. The article recaps a collateral event of the Venice Architecture Biennale organized by the New York Institute of Technology on June 29, 2023, where Lorenzo-Eiroa led a discussion about his recently published book .

School of Architecture and DesignCarrie Rubinstein, adjunct instructor of digital art and design, had her work, "Brick Fiction," displayed at the Brooklyn Art Cluster gallery from June 16 鈥� August 23, 2023, as part of the exhibition . In his review, Tyler Holter writes, "[t]he once-industrial space resonates with her paper creation. The first section, a nine-by-twelve-and-a-half-foot 'wall,' has interlocking panels with exposed layers: the brick, wallpaper, plaster; all done on paper, in slate gray watercolor, gouache, and India ink, with flashes of red. In the second section, a room takes shape as walls form a corner, capped with a wire-suspended ceiling. In minute detail, Rubinstein has sculpted electrical outlets, conduit, picture frames, light fixtures, and even breaker boxes with a functioning door. Her work meditates on our built surroundings, drawing on the material histories and even labor involved in the production of space."
Nicole Calma-Roddin
College of Arts and SciencesNicole Calma-Roddin, Ph.D., assistant professor of behavioral sciences, Kevin Park, M.F.A., assistant professor of digital arts and design, and Jacqueline Keighron, Ph.D., assistant professor of biological and chemical sciences, have published an article, "," in the Journal of Chemical Education on June 8, 2023. The article describes an interactive, web-based virtual reality (VR) experience that was created to complement the BIOL 340 lab and includes an analysis of student engagement. Results showed that students engaged with and enjoyed the activity, and suggest that the activity increased student understanding.
Claude Gagna
CAS, Biological & Chemical SciencesClaude E. Gagna, Ph.D., professor of biological and chemical sciences, published a response to "The Promise of Peptide Nucleic Acids," an article written about gene therapy in the April 3, 2023 edition of Chemical and Engineering News, a publication of the American Chemical Society, in the Letters to the Editor, Reactions Section. His letter to the editor, entitled published on June 4, 2023, focuses on how researchers need to go beyond Watson and Crick's classic canonical double-stranded structure of B-DNA, and focus on alternative (i.e., Z-DNA, Z-RNA) and multistranded DNA and RNA (i.e., triplex DNA and quadruplex DNA) molecules in order to fully achieve the promise of peptide nucleic acid therapeutics. Peptide-based drugs can be used to treat pathologies.

Hinds, Ed.D., associate provost for student engagement and development, and Patricia Napolitano, M.S.Ed., associate dean of students, presented a roundtable, "The Evolution of Academic Integrity at 黑料导航 and How We Got Here," at the on June 2, 2023, at Pace University in New York City. The roundtable included an overview of the recent updates to 黑料导航's academic integrity policy and process, which was a collaborative effort with faculty, staff, and students. Primary topics included ensuring equity, student and faculty access to educational resources, and streamlining process.

College of Osteopathic MedicineMilan Toma, Ph.D., assistant professor of clinical sciences, published an article, in Injury, a peer-reviewed, open access journal, on May 30, 2023. The other authors included two recent graduates from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

College of Arts and SciencesAmanda Golden, Ph.D., associate professor of English in the Department of Humanities, presented 鈥溾�楨diting Sylvia Plath at 90鈥� at the in Boston, Mass., on May 27, 2023. She organized and spoke on a panel, "Sylvia Plath at 90," which featured leading scholars including Elizabeth J. Donaldson, Ph.D., 黑料导航 associate dean and professor of English, who presented 鈥淧sychiatric Disability and Asylum Fiction."
