School of Engineering & Computing Sciences Electrical & Computer EngineeringAzhar Ilyas, Ph.D., had his article, pubished in Biotechnology Advances on March 17, 2018. The article explores the circulating tumor cell (CTC) isolation, ex-vivo culturing, and downstream molecular analysis for monitoring metastases, drug treatment response, and heterogeneity profiling of cancer cells.
Terese Coe
College of Arts & Sciences EnglishTerese Coe, M.A., adjunct instructor of English, had three of her poems included in , an anthology of the verse form known as double dactyls, published by The Waywiser Press (UK) on March 15, 2018. Double dactyls are amusing or inventive eight-line poems, often about a particular historical or literary figure, that must adhere to metrical and other requirements first laid down by John Hollander and Anthony Hecht in a similar anthology 50 years ago.

Lynn Rogoff
College of Arts and SciencesLynn Rogoff, M.F.A., adjunct associate professor of English, spoke on a panel, "VR-AR Production on Edge—The Amazing Journey of Imagination: Storytelling in Content and Advertising," at the Digital Hollywood Conference Media Summit on March 8, 2018, in New York City. Rogoff spoke about the Endanger VR game series, partially developed on an interdisciplinary grant from 黑料导航 to develop a game series to find and save endangered species, worldwide.

College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean's Office-JonesboroKapil Bajaj, director of academic and research technology at NYITCOM at A-State, received his Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) certificate on March 6, 2018, from the Healthcare Information and Management Society (HIMSS), a global, cause-based, not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information and technology.
Aydin Farajidavar
School of Engineering & Computing Sciences Electrical & Computer EngineeringAydin Farajidavar, Ph.D., assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, had his paper, published in the IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems on March 5, 2018. The paper, co-authored by Amir Javan-Khoshkholgh, postdoctoral researcher, and former NYIT graduate students, Zaid Abukhalaf and Rui Wang, proposes to develop and validate a miniature system that can wirelessly acquire gastric electrical activity called slow waves, and deliver high energy electrical pulses to modulate its activity.

Rozina Vavetsi
College of Arts & Sciences Digital Art & DesignRozina Vavetsi, M.SC., associate professor and chair of the Department of Digital Art and Design, made a visual presentation entitled 鈥淒esign your Information鈥� at the 2018 Design Principles and Practices conference on March 5, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. The presentation focused on the visualization methods used to showcase complex information in digestible and aesthetic ways and emphasized the importance of information design as an integral part of the graphic design curriculum.

College of Arts & Sciences EnglishTerese Coe, M.A., adjunct instructor of English, had two of her poems, "To the Know-It-All," and "America," published at New Verse News on January 12 and March 1, 2018, respectively.
John Hanc
