Samer Charbaji received his Ph.D. in Technology and Operations from the University of Michigan-Ross School of Business. In his research, he uses novel experimental designs to study various ways of improving knowledge worker productivity. He is currently studying how a knowledge-worker’s productivity is impacted by the discretionary switching decisions they make between creative and repetitive tasks and, separately, how output constraints with subjective requirements impact the originality of a knowledge worker’s creative output. He has previously won the John Buzacott award for best behavioral paper published in the Production and Operations Management journal for his work studying how enterprise social media platform design impacts knowledge worker helping decisions and productivity.
